TIME/TV: 7:10 p.m., YES Network and ESPN

WEATHER: Temperatures in the low 80s with no real threat of rain.

UMPIRES: HP Vic Carapazza, 1B Ron Kulpa, 2B Larry Vanover, 3B Brian Knight

FAMILIAR RIVALS: Yankees starter Ivan Nova hasn’t had a lot of success against the current batch of Red Sox. Players on the Red Sox roster had hit a combined .363/.414/.625 against Nova. David Ortiz is a career .364/.462/.591 hitter in 22 at-bats against Nova. Catcher Ryan Hanigan has only two career hits in eight at-bats against Nova, but each hit has been a home run. Nova has done well against Xander Bogaerts (.125/.222/.125 in eight at-bats).

ANOTHER NINE-SPOT: The Yankees’ nine-run seventh inning on Sunday was their third time scoring at least nine in a frame in the past 31 games. No other Major League team has more than one such frame in 2015. For the Yankees, it?marks only the second time since 1987 that they have recorded as many as three innings with at least nine runs in one season (3x in 2009).

MILESTONE WATCH: Sunday’s win was the 798th victory of Joe Girardi’s managerial career (720 with Yankees, 78 with Florida). He needs two wins to reach 800 for his career. … Outfielder Carlos Beltran is one double shy of 500 for his career.
